Question: Why do you limit platform demonstrations to only three different types?

Answer: We have taken a number of platforms for a spin and the three that we use in our platform demonstrations we feel best demonstrate the alternatives available to web conference hosts. Since looking at seven or eight different platforms nearly drove us crazy, why should we expose you to that much information overload? We do demo a fourth platform by name which we actively market for the distance learning instructor. See our eLearningZoom package for details.

Q: Why don’t you identify on your web site which specific platform vendors you demonstrate?

A: We take an active role in marketing eLearningZoom. For the other platforms we demonstrate our goal is to be as vendor agnostic as possible. If we named those vendors on our web site it would be tantamount to giving them free publicity. We don’t sell web conferencing for those vendors. We help you make the most informed decision possible on buying the product or not buying any product at all. Then we help you make the most of that product after the purchase.

Q: Lots of web conference providers offer “free” demos. Why should I pay you to demo these sites for me?

A: There are several advantages to working with us. First, no sales pressure! The minute you sign up for a free demo of a web conference platform, you will most likely hear from an eager sales representative. These sales reps vary by company and individual as to how much pressure they will put on you to buy their product. “50% off, offer valid only TODAY.” With Vell Group, we want you to be happy with your web conferencing decision and that means that we’re delighted if you choose an expensive platform or a dirt-cheap platform if that meets your needs. If you decide that you don’t want to purchase web conferencing products at this time, then we’re delighted to have helped you come to that decision and not have buyer’s remorse.

Second, depending on the vendor, technical support on free demos is limited. At Vell Group we’ve done a lot of the research up front and can answer most of your questions.

Third, if you decide to do business with one of the web conference providers that we demonstrate to you, you’re not on your own. Using the close relationship that Vell Group has already established with sales reps at various providers, we will perform a “warm transfer” of you from us to them. In essence, we say to the web conference provider, “XYZ Inc. is my client; they want to do business with you, be good to them!” Since you’ve made your buying decision in a “sales-free” environment, you can cut to the chase with the web conference provider on exactly what you need.

Finally, for our Get to Know Your Platform package, if you subtract Vell Group’s simple operating costs, you get almost 25 years of information technology expertise at an incredible bargain!

Q: How do I pay you?

A: For our Get to Know Your Platform package, we request payment up front through our online payment page. Once we receive notice of your payment, we will schedule consulting time with you. For our other packages, we will invoice you $300.00 as a deposit before the engagement and then the balance at the end of the engagement and you can either pay online or offline as you prefer.

Q: I need someone to moderate my web conference. Can you handle moderation on any platform?

A: As long as you provide us with an id to access your web conference system, we can moderate your conference for you.
